Mark's surprise 45th birthday party

Unbelievably I was able to keep a BIG secret from Mark - the first one in seven years - a surprise birthday party for his 45th. We arrived at Waterlot Inn for what he assumed would be a quiet romantic dinner for two and instead was met with a big SURPRISE! from 13 of our friends. Needless to say his jaw dropped to the ground and he was, for the first time in his life, quite speechless.

I placed 1980s Risky Business sunglasses on the table for each guest. It's quite funny what poses and uses they all found for their new sunglasses.

A few bottles of wine later... and out comes the cigars. Cough cough!!!

At about midnight the staff hinted towards us joining the majority of the guests outside (smoking). They wanted to go home it seems. Meanwhile the last of the guests left at about 1.20 am on Saturday morning and only because nature was calling and not a bathroom was to be seen. That didn't stop the men, one in particular, from relieving himself in the darkest corner of the parking lot. Boys will be boys right!
