Time to stop...

When was the last time you noticed a vine clinging onto another for support, or the colour of a flower as the sun bounces from its delicate petals?

Perhaps it's time to stop and literally ... smell the roses.

The one thing I've learnt over the last month manned with a macro lens, is how fragile things are, and how easy it is to miss something because it's not "in your face" big and demanding your immediate attention.

The next time a bee goes by, don't dismiss it as just another irritating insect; the next time you smell something wonderful while walking along - stop and find the source.

Life is so precious, so fragile and it's passing us by at the speed of light.

Embrace the beauty that is all around you and don't take it for granted. The way we're rushing along and destroying our planet in the process ... chances are there might not be any bees, vines gripping to each other for strength or the soft scent of a beautiful flower one day when your children are busy rushing around and missing life.

Just a thought....
